Basics of Health Planning is the first free distance learning course developed by the American University of Armenia's College of Health Sciences and the Center for Health Services Research and Development for Armenian health professionals in Armenian and Russian languages!
As an introductory course, it will present you, a health manager, the fundamental concepts, principles and methods of health planning which will help you in performing your everyday work. The course gives special emphasis to setting objectives, monitoring performance, budgeting, and health personnel management.
The course consists of 8 classes. Each class will take one to two hours to complete. By successfully completing the course and its evaluations, you will earn a certificate of accomplishment.
Distance learning is widely accepted in the US and Europe and it is very successful. It will give you the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skill without leaving your home or office; you will not have any expenses to cover course materials or other fees (except internet access charges). Everything will be available on-line for free. The course design is very friendly and allows you to communicate with instructor and with your fellow classmates discussing questions and sharing your ideas through "chat" and "discussion boards".
